WHY GEMBA
GEMBA is a family-inspired company. In Japanese Business Culture, GEMBA means ‘the actual place'- going to where the problems occur or where the work takes place to solve them properly. This is the foundation of what we do at GEMBA.
How does the llama come into the picture as the face of GEMBA? Our eldest son has loved Llamas since his childhood. Whether toys, pictures, clothing, or profile pictures, llamas have been part of our family. Before launching GEMBA, we searched for an identity and principles to serve as our company’s stable foundation. During a casual family conversation, our daughter investigated the character traits of Llamas; it was then, without question, that our GEMBA Core Values were established.

OUR STORY
For 25 years, I served in a Fortune 500 company, where I was responsible for establishing customer experience centers globally. I discovered that employees can enjoy any role with the proper engagement and support. Focusing on process and operational excellence fostered a vibrant and healthy work culture that thrived on customer and employee care.
The inspiration behind GEMBA comes from my family, particularly after my younger son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He has become my greatest hero as I witness his resilience in daily challenges. Recognizing the need to be more present for my family, I also cherished serving the teams and customers who felt like family.
After careful reflection and prayer, my family and I decided to create GEMBA, a venture that blends our passion for life and love for people. This venture allows me to partner with organizations focused on excelling in the areas I value most: People and Process Excellence.
